Privacy Policy

Wifiwev processes the minimum data needed to run hotspot billing, payments, and router management for Tanzanian WiFi businesses.

What we collect

• Operator account details: name, email, phone, business name, city, and region.
• Agent details: name, email, phone, wallet and voucher history.
• Customer session data: MAC address, optional phone, package, usage, and payment status.
• Router telemetry: online status, CPU, memory, and VPN health.
• Payment references from ClickPesa needed to confirm mobile-money transactions.

How we use it

Data is used to authenticate users, grant WiFi access, send OTP and transactional SMS you enable, reconcile payments, and keep routers online. We do not sell customer lists.

Retention

Session, voucher, and payment records are kept for operator reporting and dispute handling. You can ask us to close an operator account; some financial records are retained where the law requires it.

Processors

Hosting runs on Railway and Vercel. Payments go through ClickPesa. SMS uses the gateway you configure, or Wifiwev system SMS for platform alerts. Error reports may be sent to Sentry when a DSN is configured.
